How a nurse became a guide back to the body.
I became a Registered Nurse in 2010 because I wanted to understand how the body works. I wanted to be useful in the most literal sense — present at the bedside when it mattered most. Thirteen years of clinical practice gave me that. It also gave me something I did not expect: a front-row view of how much of what we carry does not live in the mind.
I watched patients hold grief in their shoulders, anxiety in their gut, unspoken things in the tension of their jaw. Talk therapy, medication, and willpower addressed the story. They did not always address the tissue. The body kept score in ways the chart could not capture.
When my own healing stalled — after years of personal development, therapy, and every tool I could find — I discovered somatic practice. Then Kundalini Activation Process. Then the slow realization that the nervous system was the doorway I had been circling for years without entering.
What emerged is what I now call The Return Method — not an invention, but a naming of the pattern I have watched repeat across every woman I have worked with. Safety. Release. Surrender. Soften. Rise. Not stages you complete once, but doorways you pass through again and again at deeper levels.
I hold this work as a nurse and as a woman who has done it herself. The clinical precision and the embodied knowing are not separate. They are the whole point.
I am based in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica, and the San Francisco Bay Area. I host retreats, lead KAP sessions, and run The Return — a free women's community for women who are ready to stop managing and start arriving.
The tensions that make this different.
Domino does not choose between the neurological and the energetic — she holds both simultaneously. Clinical understanding of the nervous system alongside transmission-based somatic work. Neither dilutes the other.
The body cannot release what it does not feel safe enough to release. Domino builds safety first — always — and then creates conditions for activation. The sequence matters. This is where clinical training changes the outcome.
The Return Method provides a clear arc. But within that arc, the body leads entirely. Domino holds the structure so you do not have to — so you can surrender into the work without managing it at the same time.
This work is fierce. It asks for honesty, willingness, and the courage to stop performing. Domino brings warmth, but she does not coddle. Softness and strength are not opposites here — they are the same thing.
What thirteen years bedside changed about how she holds a session.
A somatic practitioner reads the body. A nurse reads it with a different level of specificity — she recognizes nervous system dysregulation as a clinician, understands the physiology of trauma response, and knows when activation needs to be paused versus supported. That distinction changes what a session can safely hold.
It also changes how Domino speaks to the body. She does not bypass the clinical to get to the spiritual. She uses clinical precision as a foundation for energetic depth. The science does not flatten the mystery — it holds it more safely.
When you are on the mat in a KAP session, you are not just in the hands of a facilitator. You are in the hands of a nurse with thirteen years of reading bodies under pressure. That is the container. That is what makes surrender possible.
